Item #: 1372J

A lovely mold blown pitcher with an applied green reeded handle. It is somewhat accepted generally that examples with all white figures were made in the USA, while gold-trimmed items and those with tinted faces or color on their clothing are European. Mary Gregory items were popular from the mid 1800's to the turn of the century. This piece is quite tall, standing 13 1/8" tall and 7" wide with the handle. It features a tall young woman reaching for a branch amid much greenery and ferns. It is in nearly perfect condition, with one tiny ding or flake in the gold band at the foot of the base. There are gold bands surrounding the pitcher at the top and two bands around the base. There is a small amount of wear to the gold from age and use. This very attractive piece would be a fine addition to an extensive Mary Gregory collection!
