Item #: 4745 A very collectible 1941 D&RGW dining car piece in excellent condition. It was manufactured by the International Silver Company of Meriden, Connecticut. It is embossed with the "Rio Grande" speed logo on the front and bottom stamped "International Silver Co., Silver Soldered, 05075A, 12 oz. and 41." The sugar bowl has flat "ear" type handles. The lid is original to the sugar bowl and has a small finial. The silverplate polishes up well, with only minor scattered surface nicks from age and use. Notches to hold the tiny sterling silver bird claw tongs are on the right side. Dimensions of the sugar bowl are 4 ½" tall with lid and 3 ½" in diameter. A very special railroad dining car piece to add to your Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad collection!
