Rock Island Lines Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. Brass Signal Lock
Item #: 1748 The Rock Island Lines was a mighty good road, alright, from 1851 to 1980. This is a brass signal lock for the Rock. It was manufactured in 1932, and stamped on the back side "M'F'R'D By Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., New Britain, Conn., USA, Patent No. 1,849,775, Lubricate With Graphite". The front is stamped "Rock Island Lines, Signal". The lock will open with the correct key, sorry, no key with this lock. It is a little stiff, but will open up. If you want, we might be able to get a new key made for an extra cost. There are a few dings on the front and back of the lock. It is 2 13/16" tall when locked, and 1 7/8" wide. A very nice lock to add to your railroadiana collection!
