Item #: 5070 This is an extremely nice piece from the Colorado & Southern Railway. One that is getting harder to find. The lantern frame has lots of tin and excellent metal and has been cleaned of oil & dirt, then hand polished with a cotton cloth. It is embossed on the top lid " C&SRy, The Adams & Westlake Co., New York, Chicago, Phila., Adlake Reliable" with the last patent date being April 1, 1913. The lantern comes with a clear etched in large letters "C&SRy" 5 3/8" tall melon globe that is in very good condition. The bottom rim of the globe has one very small inside rim flea bite that is hard to see. The top rim two small flat rim chips or flea bites. A very nice old globe! The lantern comes with the correct Adlake font and burner that is in excellent condition. The lantern stands 10 ½" tall without the bail. This is an impressive Colorado railroad piece that is sure to brighten up any collection,...why not yours!
