Item #: 5106 A very hard-to-find AT&SF California Poppy large 9 ¼” pedestal compote that is in excellent condition. It is bottom stamped "Made Expressly For Santa Fe Dining Car Service" and stamped and manufactured by "Bauscher, New York-Chicago, Weiden, (Germany),1911". The bowl shows moderate age spots, but the decoration is still very vivid. The underside of the bowl has a small area of very minor small specks under the glaze. Still a good display and an early and desirable piece from the Santa Fe Railway, and ready to add to your collection!
