This is the daintiest and most beautiful berry set we have offered for a very long time. This lovely berry set was made by the Rosenthal Company, Selb, Bavaria in the early 1900’s. There is one master berry bowl and ten individual berry bowls. The pattern is in pinks and mauves in a mum design. The mums have hand painted highlights, and the trim is hand printed with gold outlines. One side of each bowl has a pierced diamond design, probably for draining the berries. The set is back marked with the green Rosenthal mark, “Savory”, and the hand painted numbers “2266-42”. One bowl is slightly different, and even more delicate, with pale yellow highlights. It is marked as well, but the number is “2264-92” on the back. All pieces are is perfect condition. The master berry bowl is 10 ¼” in diameter, and 2 ¼” tall. The small bowls are 6 ¼” in diameter, and 1 ¼” tall. If you would like to impress your guests at your next party, this berry set will certainly do the trick!
