A very desirable collectible from the hey day of the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. This is a gravy or sauce boat in the smaller size, produced by Syracuse China Company for the D&RGW. The sauce boat is in the Old Ivory version. It is marked on the side with the "Rio Grande" speed logo, and marked on the bottom "Old Ivory, Syracuse China". The gravy-sauce boat is in near mint condition, no chips, cracks, flakes or flea bites. It is 2 1/2" tall and 6" long to the back of the handle.
