This individual double handled soup tureen has seen many years of use on the rails. It was manufactured by Reed and Barton Company of Taunton, Massachusetts for the Rio Grande Western Railway. It is bottom marked with the RGW diamond logo, and the numbers "1344." The tureen and lid show surface scratches and tiny marks from years of use, but it shines up well. The upper edge of the base has a leaf and shell scrolled design. There is no ladle. Dimensions of the soup tureen are; 6 3/4" wide with handles, and 3 3/4" tall with the lid on. A very attractive addition to make to your Rio Grande Western collection.
