1880's Walnut Eastlake Style Dresser with Hankie Drawers
Item #: 4897A An early and nice Eastlake period chest of drawers. This is a solid walnut piece, with recessed drawer panels of beautiful burled walnut. There are two spoon carved panels at the second drawer level, one on each side. The 1890's brass lion head pulls are antique and are in great condition, just polished a little. The pulls are probably not original, they should be teardrop pulls, but they are very attractive and really make the dresser more masculine. The locks are all present, and work well with the key. There are two small locking hankie drawers, with a back splash behind. The finish is old, and has just been cleaned. The dresser is 44 1/4" tall, 17 5/8" deep, and 38 1/2" wide. A very practical and elegant Eastlake period chest of drawers, in room-ready condition!
