1890's German "Lying Dog" sulfide marble, with a chalk reclining dog figure with collar facing left. There are some interior bubbles, with some light surface dings, no real chipping. The polished pontil is at the bottom of the marble. The sulfide marble is 1 1/2" in diameter. The marble is in original condition. It is an old marble, not a reproduction. The collection of German sulfide marbles has been assembled over many years of dedicated searching. It can be purchased separately or as part of the group.
