Item #: 4951A
A very collectible slush cast iron toy from the 1920's comic strip originally proposed by Fontaine Fox titled "Toonerville Trolley". This cast iron toy was possibly made by the Dent Company or Kansas Toy & Novelty Company. It has the original mustard yellow paint with silver painted trim and green wheels. The paint is worn on the edges and chipped in spots. There are some tiny scratches on one side of the body with a casting flaw on one corner. One side is cast "copyright 1922 F. Fox," and both sides at the top are cast "Toonerville". The only thing missing is the tiny trolley electric antenna. This is an original, not a reproduction. It is 3 1/2" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 3" long. A very nice addition to make to any cast iron toy collection!
