Item #: 4070J
This quite beautiful Victorian cranberry piece possibly originates from the Midwest states considering the flowers chosen for the hand enameling, but this is not necessarily the case. The carafe is in perfect condition with white interior glasses and cranberry ribbed exterior glass. The lip of the carafe is rolled and polished. There is wear from age on the white cased edge of the lip. The pontil is polished. There are no chips, cracks or flea bites. The dainty flower sprays are original and expertly done; they include Bleeding Hearts, Violets, Lily of the Valleys, Sweet Williams, Forget-Me-Nots, and Daisies. Dimensions of the carafe are: 7 1/2" tall and 5" in diameter at the widest point. This spectacular Victorian cranberry piece illustrates the quality of workmanship we no longer see today, and so it should be appreciated!
